Dear Friend,

As the Lord began His formal ministry on Earth He gathered about Him leaders (disciples) who would support Him (the Man), who would support the continuation of His ministry (the Mission) and who understood the goals and objectives that formed this mission (the Ministry). These three areas taken together promised that the Mission, through the Ministry would outlive the Man.

We are called Christians because Christ built a foundation. He devoted time to teaching, preaching and training His disciples so that they would have His heart and re-produce His heart in the heart of others. This principle of teaching, preaching and training guides the First Baptist Church West College Hill today and will continue for the tenure of the life of our church.

We are ever learning ourselves, and with this devotional we want you (especially those who do not know our God) to take a step of faith and settle in your heart that you will go where God wants you to go, and do what He wants you to do, to receive what He wants you to have. We will be grateful to God if this devotional helps you and any others find your bearings and encourages you to take part in the ongoing mission of the church…“spreading the gospel throughout all nations.”

This devotional is a gift for all of you. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for your prayers, support and commitment to the First Baptist Church West College Hill ministry.
